R v. Vellone, [2011] 108 O.R. (3d) 481
______________
In 2018, Jordan founded GlickLaw on the belief that he could provide more collaborative, nimble and cost-effective services to clients within a specialized boutique environment where services are limited and provided on an expert basis. In that regard, Jordan limits the services that he provides to acting for:aa
1. Professional Regulators and Licensing Bodies;
2. Professionals and Licensees on regulatory matters;
3. Individuals and corporations for select criminal and quasi-criminal offences and by-law infractions, including white collar crime and both public and consumer protection legislation; and,
4. Individuals, corporations and governmental institutions regarding privacy law and making or responding to access to information requests.
Jordan honed his litigation skills working with some of the best and most recognizable names in regulatory and criminal law including Brian Greenspan, Eddie Greenspan and Marie Henein. Between 2010 and 2018, Jordan was a Member of the Regulatory Group at Weirfoulds LLP where, in 2014, he was made a partner.
In 2017, Jordan was awarded the Prestigious Lexpert Rising Stars Award honouring the top Canadian lawyers under the age of 40. In 2018, Jordan was recognized in the 2018 Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory among the Leading Lawyers to Watch in “Public Law Litigation”. Jordan has been named to the Best Lawyers in Canada directory in the category of “Administrative and Public Law” for 2019, 2020 & 2021.
Jordan routinely speaks on topics relating to the above areas and has chaired and/or presented at conferences put on by the Law Society of Upper Canada, The Advocates Society, Osgoode Professional Development, the Criminal Lawyers Association, the Council on Licensure, Enforcement & Regulation (CLEAR) and the Canadian Network of Agencies for Regulation (CNAR)
