The Lawyers of GlickLaw acted as counsel to the College of Chiropodists of Ontario (“COCOO”) between 2014 and 2018, advising on investigations and prosecuting chiropodists and podiatrists before the Discipline Committee. We are therefore uniquely situated to assist chiropodists and podiatrists when regulatory issues arise including responding to complaints and investigations, defending yourself against allegations of professional misconduct, and representing your interests before COCOO’s Discipline Committee, Registration Committee and/or Fitness to Practice Committee.

• Responding to complaints and investigations at the College of Chiropodists of Ontario’s Inquiries, Complaints and Reports Committee (“ICRC”);
• Representing chiropodists / podiatrists in hearings before the College of Chiropodists of Ontario’s Discipline Committee or Fitness to Practise Committee;
• Appealing decisions of the ICRC to the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board (“HPARB”);
• Representing chiropodists / podiatrists in hearings and reviews of Registration Committee decisions before HPARB;
• Appealing decisions of HPARB, the Discipline Committee or the Fitness to Practise Committee to the Divisional Court;
• Representing chiropodists / podiatrists in criminal or quasi-criminal proceedings under the Criminal Code or Provincial Offences Act;
• Representing chiropodists / podiatrists in applications and civil litigation before the Superior Court of Justice;
• Assisting chiropodists / podiatrists in applications for registration and in making submissions to the Registration Committee;
• Assisting chiropodists / podiatrists with audits and quality assurance programs;
• Advising chiropodists / podiatrists on compliance with the RHPA, Chiropody Act, 1991 and other relevant legislation and regulations;
• Advising chiropodists / podiatrists on professional practice issues, such as record-keeping, privacy and confidentiality, and reporting
